At La Flauta Mágica, our journey began with a simple yet profound moment. When my daughter was little, her favorite show wasn’t usual fare like Sesame
Street or Caillou. Instead, she was captivated by The Magic Flute, an enchanting opera by Wolfgang A. Mozart. Her passion for this beautiful music inspired me as I envisioned a place where children could explore creativity and language in a nurturing environment. In 2008, I opened our bilingual preschool in Corvallis, and the name La Flauta Mágica felt a perfect reflection of our mission. Here we embrace the magic of learning through music, language, and play, fostering a love for both English and Spanish in every child. Join us on this wonderful journey of discovery!

At La Flauta Mágica Preschool, our education al approach is rooted in
literature, art, and sensory exploration. Children learn Spanish through
immersion, hands-on activities that engage their five senses – touch,
sight, hearing, taste and smell. Storytelling comes to life with the use of
real objects, puppets, and toys, while group activities involve drawing,
singing, dancing, and acting. These creative experiences not only build
language skills but also foster physical movement, emotional
connection, and active participation. From preparing food like bread
and cookies to dancing to rhythmic songs, children at La Flauta Mágica
develop language and cognitive skills through meaningful, real-world
experiences.
